Basic Components of Mid-Frequency Spot Welding Control Device

Mid-frequency spot welding machines do not typically use welding materials or protective gases. Therefore, under normal circumstances, apart from the necessary power consumption, there is almost no additional consumption, resulting in lower operating costs.

The control device includes a program conversion timer used to adjust the timing of various programs in the mid-frequency welding cycle. A phase shift controller is utilized to achieve uniform regulation of welding power, controlling the heat generated by the welding current. Additionally, it enables automatic compensation for grid voltage, constant current, current ramp-up and ramp-down, preheating, post-heating, and current increment, among other functions.

The trigger and interrupter work together, with the former sending trigger pulses to the latter. The interrupter serves as the main power switch, responsible for connecting and disconnecting the main power supply (resistance welding transformer) to and from the power grid.
