Electrode pressure and welding time of IF spot welding machine

The PLC control core of IF spot welding machine can effectively control the impulse and discharge process, respectively adjust the pre-pressing, discharging, forging, holding, rest time and charging voltage, which is very convenient for standard adjustment.

During spot welding, the electrode pressure also has a great influence on the size of the molten core. Excessive electrode pressure will cause too deep indentation and accelerate deformation and loss of welding electrode. If the pressure is insufficient, it is easy to shrink, and the welding electrode may burn due to the increase of contact resistance, thus shortening its service life.

During spot welding, the size of the molten nucleus is mainly controlled by the welding time. When other welding parameters remain the same, the longer the welding time is, the larger the size of the fusion nucleus is. When relatively high welding strength is required, generally larger welding energy and shorter welding time shall be selected. It should be noted that the longer the welding time is, the higher the welder’s energy consumption is, the greater the electrode wear is, and the shorter the service life of the equipment is.
