Maintenance methods for transformers in intermediate frequency spot welding machines

During the operation of the intermediate frequency spot welding machine, a large current passes through the transformer, causing it to generate heat. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure that the cooling water circuit is unobstructed. Ensure that the water added to the chiller equipped with the welding machine is pure water or distilled water. Then, the cooling water pipes should be regularly unblocked, and the chiller water tank and condenser fins should be cleaned.

Requirements for primary ground insulation inspection: 1. Tool: 1000V megger. 2. Measurement method: First, remove the primary incoming line of the transformer. Clamp one of the two probes of the megger at the terminal of the primary incoming line of the transformer, and the other on the screw that fixes the transformer. Shake 3 to 4 circles to observe the change in obstruction. If it shows no group size, it indicates that the transformer has good insulation to ground. If the resistance value is less than 2 megaohms, it should be abandoned. And notify maintenance.

Checking the secondary rectifier diode is relatively simple. Use a digital multimeter to set it to the diode position, with the red probe on top and the black probe on the bottom for measurement. If the multimeter displays between 0.35 and 0.4, it is normal. If the value is less than 0.01, it indicates that the diode has broken down. Unable to use.
