Why does the intermediate frequency spot welder have the problem of shunt?

The spot welding machine will produce a misunderstanding when welding, that the more the solder joint is stronger, in fact, the real welding joint spacing is required, if not done according to the requirements, it may backfire, the more the solder joint is not strong, the solder joint quality will become very poor.

Spot welding shunt and spacing: When welding, the part of the current that does not pass through the welding zone and does not form a solder joint belongs to the shunt current, referred to as shunt, which will lead to the shunt reducing the current density of the welding zone, causing problems such as non-penetration, irregular shape of the welding core, and spatter.

Factors that interfere with the shunt: solder joint spacing, welding sequence, weldment surface state, electrode contact with the non-welding area of the workpiece, poor welding assembly, when the weldment is the same thickness, because the shunt impedance is less than the welding resistance, the shunt is greater than the current passed outside the welding.
